HOW TO TEACH YOUR HORSE TO SAY
"YES" AND "NO"
This is a funny trick to teach your horse and can have lots of funny results.
You must have taught your horse the “touch” trick before this.
Hold your “touch” object to the side and say “touch”.
As he goes to touch, move it to the other side and say “touch”.
When he touches MYNAT
Increase the amount of times you move your hand and how quickly you move it. Make sure you do it gradually, so that your horse does not become frustrated.
Slowly start to not show your “touch” object and do not use your voice, just the action.
If at any point your horse gets fed up with this, have a break and start again at the beginning. You are better to do more small sessions than one large one.
Use a block to help you get a distance from your horse, so you can still ask him to say “yes” or “no”, even if you are not right next to him.
