THE CUDDLE
This trick is just a gimmick trick, but it is easy to teach and it always feels nice to have a cuddle.
Before you practice this you must make sure that everything is calm around you, as you place yourself in a vulnerable position.
You must have taught your horse to touch before doing this trick.
Stand at your horse’s shoulder and put your arm under his neck to cuddle him.
Put your touch object (in my case it is a white tissue) by your waist.
Ask your horse to touch.
When he does MYNAT.
Keep repeating, gradually moving your “touch” object away.
Gradually lengthen the time he cuddles before getting his treat.
Final Thoughts
This is a lovely trick to teach but, as I have said, make sure everything is calm around you as you do not want to get trampled.
